I took this picture when I was going home at about 00:50. It was a nice evening, pretty calm, no wind just some clouds in the sky. When I gazed at the moon I saw that it was completely surrounded by a wonderful rainbow. But in the time that I prepared my camera the clouds passed away and I managed to capture only a part of the rainbow. Why did it appear? I think it was the clouds under the moon that made this strange phenomena possible. They were thin alto-stratus clouds and the water particles which formed them, formed this rainbow also. Too bad I didn't had a better camera or just a tripod

hey .. im from singapore. and i saw the rainbow around the moon too just last night at 9pm here. ! magificient sight right? glad i found someone who saw too.
