Moon Rainbow - Alba Iulia, Romania

I took this picture when I was going home at about 00:50. It was a nice evening, pretty calm, no wind just some clouds in the sky. When I gazed at the moon I saw that it was completely surrounded by a wonderful rainbow. But in the time that I prepared my camera the clouds passed away and I managed to capture only a part of the rainbow. Why did it appear? I think it was the clouds under the moon that made this strange phenomena possible. They were thin alto-stratus clouds and the water particles which formed them, formed this rainbow also. Too bad I didn't had a better camera or just a tripod

Fire - Alba Iulia, Trascau Mts., Romania

Fire. One of the essential elements. Man's existence has always been related to fire. No matter what was lit to give heat, wood, leaves, coal, when a flame aroused, it represented power. Power to survive, power to forge metal, or just to prepare a hot meal. This element as it is destructive it is creative. Like one of the greatest Romanian poets wrote: "Where does the Heaven get it's light? - I know: from the flames of Hell"(Lucian Blaga- Heaven's Light), fire is a creative motive found everywhere in ancient and modern civilizations. Also it is tougth that fire has the ability to purify: nature or man can become pure trough fire - catharsis. You can say that fire is the most important factor that led to human progress. Powerful, destructive, creative and all mighty , fire has a pretty common enemy: water.....

Fishermen caught there some sheat fish measuring in length about 2-2.5 meters(6-8 feet). I didn't believe that until I saw with my own eyes one of this "monsters". It was about 1.5 meters (5 feet)long and weight about 70 kg(140 lbs). Some professional divers went there to explore the lake but they didn't got far and they came back to the surface, packed their equipment and went home saying that they never seen such big snakes or fishes. Locals continued the story and told others that the divers also saw cranes and coffins and all sorts of crazy stuff down there. what is important is that the lake is used by the children in the summer to swim and in the winter to skate and is vital for some fishermen who make their living by selling the "monsters" caught in the Ighis
